On Thursday April 7, 2011, Nazario Rizek Badia Library Llabaly Nordestana Catholic University (UCNE) received the Committee's visit Technical Evaluation of the Association of Dominican University Libraries (ABUD), this visit was made in order to evaluate this information unit (facilities, resources, personnel, property, policies, manuals, services, among other things) in order to determine whether it meets the profile of the member libraries of this prestigious professional association, to whether it meets the requirements to join.
The Technical Evaluation Committee of the Association is made up of eight directors of member libraries of the said association, namely: Mr. Lucero Arboleda (Library Director, INTEC, current Secretary of ABUD), Dr. Miriam Michel (Director of the UNIBE Library), Ms. Dulce María Núñez (Library Director PUCMM), Mr. Giovanna Riggio (Library Director APEC), Ms. Carmen Iris Olivo (Director of the Library UNPHU), José Cañas (Director of the Library of the UCE), Mr. Eleuterio Ferreiras (Director of the Library of UCATECI) and Mr. Pavel Corniel (Director of the Library of ISA)
During the visit, the committee was met at the Executive Lounge the Dean of the University appointed by the Rector, Rev. P. Dr. Ramon Alfredo de la Cruz, the Academic Vice-President, Dr. Zamira Asilis Estevez, the Vice Chancellor of Finance, Dr. Yanyan Almánzar Jimenez, Director Planning, Dr. Rafaela de la Cruz, the Director of Public Relations, Mr. Pedro Felix Jimenez, and the Library Director, Mr. Víctor M. Lora Bethlehem.
After the welcome ceremony, the committee, along with the Library Director, addressed to the facilities of the Information Unit to conduct the evaluation.
